The Montepio Às Vezes o Amor Festival returns from February 13 to 15, 2025, to celebrate a decade of music and love. This special edition spans more than 15 cities across Portugal, uniting audiences and renowned artists in unforgettable performances. A key highlight this year is the addition of Penafiel as a festival venue, reflecting the event’s mission to decentralize culture and bring music to new audiences.

The festival offers a rich and varied program. Among the standout performances are “Love Songs by Santos & Pecadores,” marking the band’s return to the stage, and memorable shows by Lura and Nuno Ribeiro. Other featured artists include João Pedro Pais, Jorge Palma, and the tribute project “Para Sempre Marco,” under the musical direction of Tiago Pais Dias.
On February 13 and 14, Jorge Palma, one of Portugal’s most iconic musicians, will perform in Penafiel’s Ponto C. His acoustic concerts, accompanied by Vicente Palma and Gabriel Gomes, will feature classics like “Frágil” and “Encosta-te a Mim,” as well as songs from his latest album VIDA. These intimate performances promise to capture Palma’s authenticity and brilliance.
On February 14, the Teatro Aveirense in Aveiro will host “Para Sempre Marco,” a tribute to Marco Paulo, one of Portugal’s most beloved singers. Directed by Tiago Pais Dias, the show reimagines Marco Paulo’s timeless hits in contemporary styles such as pop, funk, rock, and electronic. The cast includes Ricardo Vasconcelos, Vasco Duarte, Jéssica Cipriano, and Andrea Verdugo, delivering a fresh take on songs that have defined generations.
On February 15, João Pedro Pais will take the stage at AUDIR in Peso da Régua. With over 25 years of career highlights, including hits like “Ninguém (é de Ninguém)” and “Louco (Por Ti),” he promises a passionate and high-energy performance that celebrates love and connection.
