28 Oct NOV ’27: Tindersticks to present new album at Lisbon and Porto’s Coliseums
Tindersticks will return to Portugal in November 2027 to present Dog Roses, their new album, due for release in March. The announcement comes with the worldwide premiere of “Loving, Leaving”, the first single from the forthcoming record. Renowned for Stuart Staples’ unmistakable voice and the emotional intensity of their compositions, the British band will bring their distinctive sonic universe to two of Portugal’s most iconic venues: Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on 24 November and Coliseu Porto Ageas in Porto on 26 November.
Conceived in a new, intimate underground studio, Dog Roses reflects the band’s desire to explore new creative territories and discover fresh sonic possibilities. Marked by restlessness and experimentation, the album pays particular attention to emotions, fleeting moments and the many layers of human experience.
Recorded and produced by Stuart Staples, the album features the band’s unmistakable musical identity, with Earl Harvin on drums, Dan McKinna on bass, David Boulter on keyboards and Neil Fraser on guitar. It also features special contributions from Dave Okumu on electric guitar, Julian Siegel on saxophone and Lucy Wilkins on string arrangements.
Reflecting on the making of Dog Roses, Stuart Staples explains:
“Most of the things I had learned and thought I knew about making albums proved of little use in the creation of Dog Roses. I have always had a very clear sense of time and place in my writing, but at times, recording this album felt like trying to capture just a scent, the feeling of a knot in the stomach, or a fleeting glimpse of myself in the mirror — the thousand questions, thoughts and emotions we can experience in a single moment.”
Beyond introducing their new record, these two November 2027 performances mark a reunion with Portuguese audiences, reaffirming the band’s ability to transform songs into an intimate, cinematic and profoundly human experience.
