Luísa Sobral, Lucia Fumero and Rita Payés, three of the most captivating artists from the Iberian Peninsula, come together for an unprecedented show that will premiere at Festival Grec, in Barcelona, on the 20th of July. The show promises to merge the different styles and influences of the three artists on a journey between Portugal and Catalonia, crossing the music and identity of each one.
Luísa Sobral is one of the most important singer-songwriters of the new generation of Portuguese musicians. Throughout her career, she released six original albums and composed for artists like Ana Moura, Carminho, António Zambujo and Mayra Andrade. Luísa is also a regular collaborator with Spanish artists, having already worked with the multi-instrumentalist Raul Refree, who produced ‘Rosa‘ (2018), her fifth original album, and with singer Zahara (“Tudo Lo Que No Está“, 2020). At the end of 2022, Luísa released her most recent album, ‘DanSando‘, a work full of bright songs about love.
Lucia Fumero is a promising young pianist born in Barcelona, with Argentinean and Swiss roots. She recently finished the European tour of her acclaimed debut album ‘Universo Normal‘. She performed at several major events, such as the Athens Jazz Festival, Jazzaldía, Getxo Jazz Festival and Madrid Jazz Festival. She often collaborates with the new generation of musicians from Barcelona, such as Rita Payés, Nico Roig, Pol Batlle and Martín Meléndez, among others.
Rita Payés, a 22-year-old Catalan trombonist and singer, released her first album of originals in 2021, ‘Como La Piel‘, recorded with her mother, classical guitarist Elisabeth Roma. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with prestigious names such as Chamorro, Scott Hamilton, Scott Robinson and Toni Belenguer, and has performed on major stages across Europe. In 2022, she unveiled ‘Salt Mortal’, a collaborative project with Catalan singer and guitarist Pol Battle, premiered live on the COLORS platform.
