25 Aug Luísa Sobral live in the Azores next week
Luísa Sobral will be returning to the Azores islands at the beginning of September. The singer and composer will perform at the opening of the LAVA Jazz Festival, in Faial, and at Teatro Angrense, in Terceira.
Luísa Sobral is preparing to return to the Azores for two unique concerts: on September 2 she will be opening LAVA – Pico International Jazz Festival, with a concert at Teatro Faialense in Horta (Faial), and the following day she will take the stage at Teatro Angrense in Angra do Heroísmo (Terceira). In these concerts, Luísa will be accompanied by guitarist Manuel Rocha.
Also as a duo, but on September 17th, Luísa will be playing in the fourth edition of Chefs on Fire, a festival that gathers food, fire and music in one place, and that is scheduled for 4pm at Espaço FIARTIL, in Estoril.
With five acclaimed albums and countless compositions for other artists, Luísa Sobral is today one of the most important singer-songwriters of the new generation of Portuguese musicians.
The final details for her sixth original album were recently completed, and the release is expected to take place in late October. The record was produced by Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and Latin Grammy winner Tó Brandileone and will have a more pop aesthetic than its predecessors.
