27 Oct Luca Argel releases EP “O Vencedor / Lenço Enxuto”
Luca Argel returns with the release of “O Vencedor / Lenço Enxuto”, an EP that bridges his personal and creative journey with the themes that have shaped his artistic reflection over the past few months. Now available on all digital platforms, this EP shares with his forthcoming album of original songs — due out in January 2026 — the same thematic universe: masculine identity, the body, and affection.
The EP features two intimate renditions of songs that have deeply marked Luca Argel’s artistic and personal path: “O Vencedor”, by Marcelo Camelo (Los Hermanos), and “Lenço Enxuto”, by Samuel Úria. Two voices, two countries, two moments in time — and a single theme: male vulnerability.
“Los Hermanos was the band of my youth,” Luca Argel confesses. “I was one of those fans who knew every song by heart, without realizing that I was receiving my first musical education — one that would shape the artist I could become.” Choosing “O Vencedor” as the opening track of this EP is a gesture of return and gratitude. A song that accompanied Luca at the beginning of his journey now reappears, reimagined through the lens of his artistic maturity, as a symbolic starting point for a new creative cycle.
The second track, “Lenço Enxuto”, was born from Luca Argel’s experience living in Portugal and from his admiration for one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Portuguese songwriting: “Samuel Úria is one of the songwriters I admire the most. I’ve had the privilege of sharing the stage with him, and this song is often the highlight of his concerts. More than once, I’ve been asked to record it — by friends and fans who feel it suits my voice.”
The result is an EP that, although composed of covers, is deeply aligned with Luca Argel’s own creative world. Both songs point toward the central themes of his upcoming album and serve as an emotional prelude to what’s ahead. O Vencedor / Lenço Enxuto is also a tribute to two musical cultures — Brazilian and Portuguese — and to the artists who have shaped Luca Argel’s path as a performer, songwriter, and thinker of songs.
