26 Jul Cristina Branco on tour with concerts in France and Lithuania next week
Cristina Branco CONTINUES the world tour of ‘Mãe’, WITH CONCERTS AT Les Nuits Musicales d’Uzès in France on July 28 and on August 2 at the Christopher Summer Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Cristina Branco presents the new album ‘Mãe’ with her usual trio with Luis Figueiredo (piano), Bernardo Couto (Portuguese guitar) and Bernardo Moreira (double bass), thus setting off on a heartfelt tribute to traditional fado, evoking great authors of Portuguese literature, as has been her wont.
On 28th July, she performs live at Les Nuits Musicales d’Uzès in France, at 9:30pm. On 2nd August, it’s the turn of the Christopher Summer Festival in Vilnius, Lithuania to welcome the Portuguese artist.
In 2024, Branco has already performed in more than thirty venues around the world, from Latin America to Europe, to present her latest album ‘Mãe’. A year full of concerts that have also included the album ‘Abril’, a work revisited on the occasion of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Revolução dos Cravos.
With 18 albums already released, extensive world tours and numerous awards, such as the two Prix Choc from Le Monde de La Musique magazine, Cristina Branco is a true ambassador for Portuguese culture. Traditional music is in her genesis, but the influence of jazz, literature and the musicians she plays with give her art a universal dimension.
“You can listen to this record as if it were a ballet (…) The result is always surprising. And beautiful, it has to be said.”

“When Cristina Branco chooses to, she is a stunning fadista. Just not an orthodox one”
