24 Jan Cristina Branco announces first shows for 2023
Cristina Branco, one of the most important ambassadors of Portuguese music, will have with a busy schedule in 2023. For the first half of the year, concerts are already planned in Portugal, Germany, Belgium, France, Holland and Norway.
After an astounding 2022 with over 50 concerts, Cristina Branco has just announced the first dates for the new year: the singer, one of the most active Portuguese artists today, will perform throughout Europe in the first half of 2023.
Starting at the end of January, on the 27th, Cristina will perform at the prestigious Amiens Europe Festival, in France. The next stop is Idanha-a-Nova, in Portugal: on the 2nd of February, the fadista will go on stage for the celebrations of the 26th anniversary of Centro Cultural Raiano. Valentine’s Day, February 14, brings a new concert: Cristina Branco will perform in Santarém, at Teatro Sá da Bandeira, accompanied by the pianist João Paulo Esteves da Silva to present the album ‘Amoras Numa Tarde de Outono’. This concert is part of festival Montepio às Vezes o Amor.
In March, Cristina Branco returns to Germany to perform in Tubingen and Waldshut on the 23rd and 24th, respectively, and in April, she embarks on an extensive tour of the Benelux countries, departing from Den Haag in the Netherlands on the 21st, and stopping in 13 more cities. Utrecht (Netherlands, 22nd), Leuven (Belgium, 27th), and Gent (Belgium, 2nd May) are some of the dates in focus.
May brings a surprise: on the 12th, Cristina travels to Scandinavia for a concert at the iconic Cosmopolite in Oslo, Norway.
With a career spanning 26 years, 18 albums and countless concerts all over the world, Cristina Branco is a tireless ambassador of Portuguese culture and one of the most important Portuguese artists today. In 2022 she toured all over Europe in concerts and released the album ‘Amoras numa Tarde de Outono’ in collaboration with pianist João Paulo Esteves da Silva.
