CAMP, Fest4kids and Luísa Sobral nominated for the Iberian Festival Awards

CAMP ’22, FEST4KIDS, and Luísa Sobral’s concert at Lava Jazz festival are nominated for the Iberian Festival Awards. Voting will take place until 16 January.

In total, Locomotiva Azul amasses an astounding eight nominations for the prestigious Iberian Festival Awards, which recognize the contributions and achievements of event organizers in 2022.

CAMP’22 stands out. The 1st edition of this festival took place in October at the Morgado do Quintão wine estate (Lagoa, Algarve) and was produced by Locomotiva Azul. For three days, musicians, creators and thinkers gathered for an event with a challenging cultural programme, which included concerts by renowned fadista Carminho, Bruno Pernadas and Mário Laginha, as well as workshops, lectures, wine tastings and masterclasses. CAMP ’22 is nominated for 6 categories: Best Small Festival, Best New Festival, Best Touristic Promotion, Best Cultural Programme, Contribution to Sustainability and Best Venue.

FEST4KIDS, a festival created for children of all ages, was also nominated in the Best Academic & Youth Festival category. The 1st edition of this colourful festival was promoted by Fest4Kids Portugal, Lda. and was directed by Locomotiva Azul. On 3, 4 and 5 June, 12,000 people were present at the Estádio do Bonfim, in Setúbal, where they could experience first-hand theatre plays, an international FIFA tournament, giant inflatables, face painting and concerts by some of the best national artists, such as Carolina Deslandes, D.A.M.A, Bárbara Tinoco and Team BRK Criadores de TikTok Show.

The last nomination goes to Luísa Sobral: the memorable concert given by the renowned singer-songwriter in early September at the idyllic Lava Jazz – Pico International Jazz Festival (Azores), is nominated for Best Live Performance.

The voting takes place until January 16th on the event’s official website and the winners will be announced in March.
