“O Homem Triste”: Luca Argel and Moreno Veloso together on stage in Braga and Lisbon

Luca Argel is preparing to unveil his new studio album, O Homem Triste (The Sad Man), a concept record that dives deep into the landscape of male mental health and the politics of emotion, transforming fragility into strength and silence into music. Scheduled for release in January 2026, the album marks a new chapter in the trajectory of the musician and writer, and is produced by Moreno Veloso, one of the most influential names in contemporary Brazilian music.

In anticipation of the new album, Luca Argel announces two very special concerts featuring Moreno Veloso on stage: on February 28 at Theatro Circo in Braga, and on March 2 at Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon. Part of the O Homem Triste tour, these performances promise to be unique moments of encounter between two artists who share the same sensibility — the ability to transform emotion into art and listening into creative expression.

Accompanied by his band, Luca Argel presents a poetic and sensorial concert, where the new songs intertwine in a gesture of vulnerability and hope. On stage, the dialogue between Argel and Veloso expands the album’s sonic universe, turning pain into beauty, introspection into connection, and emotion into art.

O Homem Triste is an emotional journey about what it means to feel, love, and heal — a project that reaffirms Luca Argel as one of the most distinctive and thought-provoking voices in Portuguese-language music today, in a time when empathy itself is an act of resistance.
