15 Mar Luca Argel reveals new version of “Quem Foi?” in concert in Torres Vedras
On April 5th, at the Teatro-Cine de Torres Vedras, Luca Argel presents his latest album – “Visita” –, with arrangements and piano performance by Pri Azevedo. In the concert, the duo will premiere live the new version of “Quem Foi?”, now available on all digital platforms.
After his remarkable participation in the Festival da Canção 2025, Luca Argel presents a new version of “Quem Foi?”, now in a more intimate style, with just voice and piano. Inspired by the minimalist aesthetic of his latest album, “Visita”, this approach reinforces the raw power of the song’s message and the emotional intensity of the performance.
“Quem Foi?” emerged from a look at immigration and the way others are viewed – often with distrust or hostility. Recorded in the same studio where “Visita” was born, with minimalist arrangements and careful production, this new version of the song once again features Pri Azevedo, now on the piano instead of the accordion, creating an even more intimate and introspective recording.
The cover of the single, by Sofia dos Reis, was originally created to promote the “Não nos encostem à parede!” demonstration against police violence against immigrants, and visually reflects the powerful message of the song that will be part of the setlist for the concert on April 5th, in Torres Vedras, as well as the artist’s remaining tour of national stages.
