Festival Montepio às Vezes o Amor returns in February 2026

Sérgio Godinho, Marisa Liz, Carolina de Deus, Fernando Daniel and Delfins among the first confirmed names.

The Montepio Às Vezes o Amor Festival returns from 13 to 15 February 2026 to celebrate its 10th edition, further establishing itself as a landmark in the Portuguese cultural landscape. Over 11 years of activity, the festival has built a solid and distinctive path as a privileged meeting point between music, emotion and place, bringing concerts to emblematic venues across the country.

The 2026 edition opens with a special concert by Sérgio Godinho, presenting As Canções de Amor de Sérgio Godinho – Biografias do Amor, in Lisbon (Sagres Campo Pequeno, 13 February) and Porto (Coliseu Porto Ageas, 15 February). With more than five decades of career and over thirty albums released, Sérgio Godinho brings together his love songs on stage for the first time, in a show that bridges memory, rediscovery and the present.

On Valentine’s Day, 14 February, the festival expands to several cities nationwide, with concerts that reflect a wide diversity of languages, generations and artistic worlds.

In Torres Novas, Carolina de Deus performs at Teatro Virgínia. An emerging singer-songwriter in the Portuguese music scene, she presents a repertoire that includes songs from the album Dores de Crescimento alongside more recent releases, with the special participation of the Coro Juvenil do Choral Phydellius.

At Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, in Leiria, Delfins present “U Outro Lado”. Following the public celebration of 40 years of songs, the band returns in a more intimate format, revisiting lesser-known pieces from their catalogue in a show designed for theatres and auditoriums, where closeness to the audience plays a central role.

Also on 14 February, Fernando Daniel takes the stage at Teatro Municipal de Vila do Conde with “V.H.Sessions”, an intimate concert in which he performs on vocals, guitar and piano, accompanied by Fernando Mendoza (keyboards and programming) and Ivo Magalhães (guitar). The show revisits songs from V.H.S. Vol.1., including “Casa” and “Prometo”, while also previewing new material from his artistic journey.

At Teatro Municipal da Lousã, Marisa Liz presents “Mensagens de Amor”, an intimate concert created specifically for auditorium settings. She is joined by Guilherme Salgueiro (keyboards and guitar) and Ricardo Danin (drums), revisiting key songs from her solo career and recent collaborations in a performance tailored to this format and context.
