10 Sep Cara de Espelho close their 2024/2025 tour with a concert this Saturday in Lagoa and unveil new single now available for pre-save
Anticipating the release of their new album, scheduled for early 2026, Cara de Espelho present the single “D de Denúncia” on September 26. The track, already available for pre-save on digital platforms, will also feature prominently in the setlist of the band’s final concert of the current tour, taking place on September 13 at the Auditório Municipal Carlos do Carmo, in Lagoa.
After 19 months on the road, the collective prepares to wrap up the tour for their self-titled debut album — a work whose originality left a decisive mark on the Portuguese music scene. Released in January 2024, and driven by standout tracks such as “Corridinho Português” and “Livres Criaturas”, the record topped the “Best Albums of the Year” lists of Rádio Radar, Blitz and Expresso, while also earning the band major distinctions: Best Band at the Futurawards and the PLAY Award for Best Reinterpretation of Traditional Music. The group was also nominated for Best Album at both awards.
The tour took Cara de Espelho across Portugal, from north to south, with milestones including their debut at Theatro Circo (Braga) and two consecutive sold-out shows at Teatro Maria Matos (Lisbon). Their presence at large-scale and eclectic events cemented the band’s recognition: from FNAC Live Festival to FMM Sines, from Casa da Música to Centro Cultural Vila Flor (Guimarães), from Festa do Avante! to São Luiz Teatro Municipal (Lisbon), among many others. Their memorable performances at the Bons Sons and MED (Loulé) festivals also earned them two nominations at the Iberian Festival Awards in the Best Live Act category.
In 2025, the band recorded two new singles — “Elefante no Hemiciclo” and “O Que Esta Gente Quer” — both of which became galvanizing highlights of their shows, as proven by performances at MEO Kalorama, OVAR Festa, and more recently at Teatro Municipal de Vila Real. Both songs serve as previews of the band’s second album, from which they are now ready to unveil a new single: “D de Denúncia”, out on September 26.
