After a recent tour with sold-out venues in Portugal and abroad to present her latest album “Mãe,” singer Cristina Branco joins the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the April 25, 1974 in an emotional tour, bringing to the stage the album “Abril,” released in 2007, dedicated to the songs of José Afonso.

Póvoa de Varzim on April 25th, Vila Real and Covilhã on April 26th and 27th respectively; Grândola on May 24th and Lisbon on December 5th open the doors of their best venues to welcome a show that promises to be memorable.

The careful selection of songs in “Abril” reflects Cristina Branco’s intense connection with the work of José Afonso. In concert, the singer will revisit the 16 tracks of the album, including emblematic themes such as “Menino d’Oiro,” “Venham Mais Cinco,” “Redondo Vocábulo,” “A Morte Saiu à Rua,” or “Índios da Meia Praia.” A lineup that will certainly provide an absolutely unforgettable live experience.

In “Abril,” the singer captures the essence of the genius of Portuguese popular music, without distancing herself from her artistic singularity.
