Tindersticks in Portugal with five concerts and a new album

The legendary British band Tindersticks is returning to Portugal in November for a new tour with dates set for Covilhã, Leiria, Aveiro, Porto, and Lisbon to introduce their latest original album. With over 30 years of history and a career filled with cult songs, Tindersticks never cease to surprise and present yet another exceptional work, which will be gradually unveiled over the next few months.

More than 25 years after Tindersticks’ first performance in Portugal, in a unique show at Aula Magna, which vocalist Stuart Staples still recalls as one of the most memorable of his career, the band is greeted with the same enthusiasm as that first time whenever they perform in Portugal—just remembering the last concerts in 2022 at the Coliseums of Lisbon and Porto to celebrate their 30-year career.

Since the 90s, Tindersticks have stood out for their originality with deep songs evoking great literature, complex and beautiful melodies, and melancholic orchestrations, subtly reminiscent of the dark romanticism of Leonard Cohen, Ian Curtis, Scott Walker, or the obscure pop of Lee Hazlewood.

In addition to new songs, the concert lineup will include some of the best moments from Tindersticks’ remarkable discography, in a return to Portugal that is expected to be triumphant. Secure your spot for one of the nights and celebrate another chapter in the long love story between the band and the Portuguese audience.

“It’s truly invigorating to be completely fascinated and slightly disturbed, seeing a band at the beginning of something that promises unimaginable greatness.” Melody Maker
